Referrals:
After we have submitted your referral, the other doctor's office/clinic will review your referral and make sure all the information they require is available to them (ie bloodwork, supporting documentation, supporting imaging). If approved they will then make an appointment. In MOST cases they will contact you directly***
Other contacts will ask us to contact you with your appointment date and time.
After your appointment, the specialist will typically provide you with instructions (ex new medication, follow up imaging or a request for another appointment). They will provide us with a summary of the visit so we can follow up as well.
If you have not heard from ANY OFFICE for a duration longer than 6 weeks after we have made the referral, please call our office and we can give you details as to how to check on the status of your referral.
